Bomb Bots are a type of robot enemies introduced in de Blob 2, during the sixth level, Blanc Cola Cannery. invented by INKT Corporation. They require 80 charge points to defeat, though this lowers the more Blob's charge attack gets upgraded.

Appearance

Bomb Bots look identical to Leechbots, but are much bulky and bit taller in appearance. The glass case where it's supposed to be is replaced with an armored helmet of some sort. This armour has three red spikes with a red circular top at the middle at the top. The helmet spins frantically if a Bomb Bot spots Blob.

Strategy

Bomb Bots are extremely fast, though they blow up after three seconds. If the player gets close to a Bomb Bot, it'll be alerted and rapidly crawl toward Blob, leaping and attaching itself onto Blob to blow him up. The consequence of this is that the explosion is ink; Blob will lose a lot of paint points and get inked.

The best way is to actually wait until the Bomb Bots explode. Either get to high ground or roll away if one chases you.

Trivia

• Despite being similar in design to Leechbots, the noises made by Bomb Bots are much different than the Leechbots'.
• Bomb Bots can sometimes flip themselves over and get back onto their feet if left alone while they don't see any colour.
• As Bomb Bots are programmed to detonate themselves after chasing down a colourful character, their systems are quite faulty as they swarmed an Elite Inky and blowing him up, leaving his helmet remaining.
• In Inky Fabricator (Railyards), 4 Bomb Bots can spawn from Manholes.
