Last Resort is the first level in de Blob. It serves as a basic tutorial, showing how to move, target paintbots etc. No enemies are present up until the next level, Uptown. It still has basic hazards such as ink.
Story
Once a holiday resort, it is now a miserable town home to the Paintbot Transmitter. The Prof plans to turn it into the Colour Underground HQ, so it's up to Blob to rescue Raydians, create the HQ and restore the resort to it's colourful self. Blob meets the Prof, Zip, and Arty here, but only the Prof and Arty gives out missions in this area. Once going over the basics, Blob heads over to the transmitter and transforms it, officially beginning the Colour Revolution.

Sector areas in Last Resort

|
There are in total four sectors, with the first area being the largest and the fourth being exclusively just the Paintbot Transmitter.
Sector 1: A New Hope
The beginning of the level. This is split into two low - lying islands, connected by plank bridges. A lot of low - height blocks and few towers, it's one of the main parts of the resort. In the beginning, there is a small plaza along with some trees and some buildings on either side. More trees are to the northern side, near the bridge. The grey Colour Underground Blimp is located on a platform just to the east of the first island. To the south, there is another small platform with a style pickup.
Entering the second island, groups of buildings in the centre of areas are made up of around nine individual buildings. To the west is cliffs with a row of buildings in front. The main road starts at the south-western end of the second island, splits to go around a park (another is to the right of the first park) as well as a group of buildings and meets near the bridge to the next sector. East of the park, is a small group of buildings, itself split into three rows of two. Similarly, small groups are placed to the north. The beach runs along the circumference of the island - except for the west and trees along the beachfront. Just before the bridge, there is a half - sunken ship off the coast. At the end of the bridge, there is a transformation engine and the sector gate. This area has a small coastline, trees and a tiny park.
Sector 2: Hotel District
This was the hotel district of the resort, with its tall towers (including skyways) and other height - varied buildings. Cliffs block the north and west sides; barriers to the south and south eastern sides. The roads here resemble a grid (similarly to how America lays its roads), a two - lane dual carriageway starts from here and heads eastbound to the sector gate. There is a medium - sized park to the north - east and next to it is a propaganda tower, the first of many INKT Landmarks. Near the entrance, there is a fountain - and another one opposite the park.
Sector 3: Luxury Apartments
The main road is broken with some platforms on either side and a crane above on of the towers. Further down the main carriageway ends with some of it being polluted with ink. A fountain is in front of a row of buildings with a cliff behind them. This has the only Billboard in the area. Beyond this is the luxurious seaside apartments, where some taller buildings have skywalks connecting them to opposite towers. Many parts of this area have a steep seawall or a cliff. Some streets have leakages of either water or ink. This is the only sector to have direct access to the Painbot Transmitter.
Sector 4: Paintbot Transmitter
This small sector only houses the transmitter. There is a small ink - polluted canal in front of the landmark, with a park to the right. Behind it is some platforms with some trees. The exit pool is also located here.
