Paintbots are robots invented by the INKT Corporation appearing in both de Blob and de Blob 2 as one of the very few enemies in the series that won't cause any harm to Blob. They are Leechbots who have filled themselves up with color and become docile since the weight of the paint in their bodies prevents them from attacking anyone. They are one of Blob's main sources of color in both games.
Appearance[]
Paintbots are light gray robots that have four legs and one eye. They also feature a glass case that contains either red, yellow, or blue paint. When slammed, Paintbots flip over and resemble Leechbots; despite this, they simply go back to being Paintbots and refill themselves after recovering from a slam attack.
In de Blob 2, their bodies have a shinier metallic gray appearance.
Strategy[]

Tutorial of gaining paint points from Paintbots in De Blob.
de Blob[]
Blob can slam a Paintbot and absorb its color simply by rolling into it.
de Blob 2 (DS)[]
Paintbots also restore a segment of Blob's health when he slams them.
de Blob 2[]
Blob can only slam Paintbots by targeting them with slam attacks. Either way, slamming a Paintbot rewards Blob with 10 paint points and causes him to absorb the color it contained.
See Also[]
- Big Paintbot: A larger Paintbot in De Blob that absorbed way more color than it was supposed to and gives you even more paint points when slammed.
- Mega Paintbot: A heavier Paintbot in De Blob 2 that absorbed too much color that it can't move. It gives you 50 paint points when slammed.
Trivia[]
- In the TV commercial for De Blob, there were green Paintbots shown on top and climbing on buildings. However, there are no green Paintbots in the game.
- Despite being completely harmless, a Raydian in de Blob 2 (DS) claims that a Paintbot was giving him funny looks and was possibly going to become homicidal.
