The Paintbot Transmitter is a major landmark that appears in de Blob, which was used to control the paintbots all over Chroma City, draining the colour and sending it possibly to areas such as The Docklands and Lake Raydia. The Paintbot Transmitter is seen in Last Resort and it costs 50 Yellow Paint Points. After converting the landmark, the building becomes the headquarters of the Colour Underground for the remainder of the game. A small part of the interior is seen during the video call to the Prof during the cutscene for Paradise Island.
Description
The landmark has two parts: The base and the transmitter dish. The base has four legs on the corners of the base. These legs are made of two colours - white and grey. They are separated by a thin line that curves down before ending near the bottom. The main section itself is raised and also split into two sections just above the entrance. A thick set of white stairs with a dark grey grilled center heads to the entrance, with the dark grey section stopping at the second step. The final step is curved at the front and is the same colour as the majority of the stairs.
Above the door is a large window that sticks out slightly, which is also where the building's weakness is. The lower part of the bottom section, door and window has a light grey cladding on top. The transmitter base is completed with a domed roof and topped off with a antenna.
The transmitter dish is supported by a large triangular foundation. Whilst most sits on the wall adjacent to the base, a part of it comes over the wall and into the waters below. Two large curved pipes connect the front part to the base of the dish.
