Sizzle Race is the first bonus challenge in Downtown, and also the first one to be a racing challenge. It is unlocked by getting a silver medal in Downtown. This event is relatively simple, as it just involves reaching the finish line as quickly as possible.

However, hot plates are placed on the rooftops along the course. Fortunately, the majority will have switches to temporarily disable them to allow you to cross it. Paintbots can be used to jump over the plates in some areas.

Location and Strategy[]

The course snakes on the rooftops and platforms over the road. Buildings cover the east, south and west sides, with a fence to the north. Beyond that is a canal and many untextured buildings with a landmark without its distinct INKT Logo above it. Like the buildings in the course, the road also snakes across the map.

The start has two ramps on the front and to the left. After climbing up the buildings, there is two rows of hot plates which you can use the nearby paintbot to get over. From here, avoid going straight or right, as the roofs have traps on them; instead jump in a diagonal direction onto the building that is connected to the walkway over the road. East of the walkway is an inky monument with four trees in the vertices.

The walkway has a single plate, so jumping over it is easy. Once the walkway is cleared, the next set of buildings will have switches nearby, so it's advisable to hit the switch before moving on. The next set of traps covers two blocks, so you need to wall run to clear them. Note that the switch for this trap is to the left of the traps on top of the building. Wall jump over the traps to the other side and head around the corner, avoiding the singular trap by jumping over it. Once again, wall - run over to the next checkpoint, whilst noting the plates to the right. Turning to the left, jump over the hot plates by slamming the paintbot in between. Again target another paintbot on the scaffolding and bypass the two buildings there. Jump over the plate that's on the walkway. To the right, there is a switch to temporary deactivate the plates. Use the paintbots to avoid the plates. Once you get past the three rows of plates, turn right twice and there will the last group of hot plates aligned in a zig-zag position. Again, use the paintbots to help you clear them. When you slam the second paintbot, jump off the building on either side to avoid the tiny building in front which has four hot plates. With that, get to the exit pool and the challenge is done.

In addition, on the walls, there are billboards taken from the levels in the game. Alongside ones taken from Downtown, there is one taken from the Ministry of Ink.
