De Blob Wiki

The Jungle is De Blob's home; Not much is known about it as the games do not focus nor take place in it.

Cutscenes[]

At the start of the original de Blob, Blob can be seen living in the Jungle as his home (specifically, sleeping on a tree), until the invasion of INKT. After that, he leaves in favor of helping the city. At the end of the game, however, when INKT is taken care of, and statues of himself and the other Color Underground members have been made, he happily returns to the jungle during the Raydians celebrating their victory in secret. He is then able to fall asleep, happily on the same tree he began on, ending the game.

Map[]

Jungles can be seen north of the island.

Jungle-like areas can be seen on the colored map of the game, likely being the outskirts of the Jungle which Blob lived in.

de Blob 2 (DS)[]

Blob gazing upon the Laboratory within the Jungle.

Blob is seen jumping around in the Jungle (possibly a different Jungle than the previous game), when he finds an abandoned laboratory. This laboratory was owned by the scientist Dr. Van Blot, who was performing crazed experiments on animals, likely including those from the Jungle. Unlike the first game, de Blob does not seem to return to the Jungle at the end here.

de Blob 2 (Wii)[]

The Jungle seems to play little to no role in de Blob 2 (Wii), as Blob is riding the Blimp with Pinky at the start of the game, and chooses to stick with her and the Color Underground at the end like before. The Map for the game does not show any jungles.

De Blob Comic Page 8

Blob giving an account (page 8).

The Jungle appears in De Blob: Long Live Color briefly, where Blob gives an account of what he was feeling before he jumped into action in the first game. Pages 7 and 8 detail this.

"I made my move to Chroma City lookin' for a bigger canvas...

...A place to show what I could do.

But when the hustle and the bustle got to be a tussle...

I know I had to get back to my roots..."

"...Or tree, as it were.

...Till one inky black cloud blotted out everything.

Fun and beauty were ripped from the city I love...

...By some soul-sucking interplanetary corp...

I couldn't let that happen..."
