The Uplink Tower is the major landmark for the Docklands district in Chroma City. The Inkies repurposed the former lighthouse to send updates of the colour shipping operation to Comrade Black's HQ. Like the Paintbot Transmitter, it sits on its own area, protected by a sector gate. There is a wind cannon located at the start of Sector 2 that takes you to the Tower once the sector gate is opened.

Description

The Uplink Tower is located on top of a cliff overlooking the docks, and it sits on one side of the cliffs. The complex itself it divided into two parts - the foundation and the main tower. The foundations themselves are further divided into four blocks.

The first foundation block is located at the leftmost of the structure and is the shortest of the sections. The front side is inclined, along with the grate; another, but smaller and slanted, grate is just around the corner. To the right is a black pipe that goes into the ground. On top is two small pipes with the switch for the plates in front. A life pickup can be seen to the side. This section is partially built into the rocks.

The main foundation section is next to it. At the top is five electric plates with a Z-Jump near the central edge. Like the previous section, the front is inclined with a bigger grate with larger holes on the façade. Two sets of pipes come out from the grate and span across the width of the cliff. Another large grate starts on the right corner and goes around to the side, where another black pipe can be seen.

The section furthest east is slightly separate from the rest of the landmark with the exception of two pipes connecting the rear block to it. This is built slightly over the cliff edge, with a filleted base. The sides have more grates - with some spanning the height of the block. On top of this block is a big satellite dish pointing away from the landmark (possibly towards the Ministry), and a antenna tower (with a Z - Jump pad on the top). In addition, this has one electric plate with a colour energy pickup on top.

The last block is at the back, and is the largest of the four. This is the only block to be connected with the previous block. Like the last one, this has plates and an taller antenna with a Z - Jump pad on the top. The front is also inclined with a grate at the top fillet. More vents/grates surround the sides. Furthermore, there is a long pipe that goes straight down from this block into the ground below. This is also built onto the sides as it also has a filleted base.

Finally, the main tower is surrounded by the three blocks, and is again inclined at the base - meaning that the base is smaller in diameter than the top is. Two pipes connect the tower to the second block. It has a two level design - light grey followed by windows. The light grey sections themselves are mostly equal in height. Two Z - Jump pads are placed on the rear of the tower. The second section has the INKT logo on the front. The tower is surrounded by a dotted platform near the top. It is suspended by three supports that connect to the top of the tower. The tower ends with a short domed top with an antenna continuing for a bit with a feed horn at the very top.

Strategy

Transforming this tower is relatively easy, being mindful of the electric hazards. There are three weak points on the landmark - with all of them being on different levels of the tower. The Red weak point is the easiest one to achieve, as there is a nearby wind cannon available for you to use. The Yellow weak point will require you to head to the rear of the tower. Slam the switch to temporarily deactivate the plates and get to the weak point as quickly as possible. The final weak point is at the top, so you would need to again deactivate the plates and use the Z - Jump to get to the top. Deposit Orange into the weak point and that is it.
