Watchtowers are one of the last minor landmarks introduced in Chroma City, along with the Power Station. They were designed to monitor traffic moving nearby. First introduced in The Docklands, they almost have the same rate of appearance in the game as the Tank Depot. Watchtowers also have the second highest paint - point requirement to transform, second to only Jail Cells. Like most other minor landmarks, they are guarded by enemies. However, given the few appearances in the game, all the watchtowers seem to be guarded by Elites.
Visual Appearances in de Blob[]
Watchtowers are quite tall and slender sitting on a curved ramp foundation. The entrance is protected by a canopy, sticking quite a bit out form the rest of the structure. Another small ramp connects the bottom half to the tall section in the centre. The upper section is the most visible part; it is styled with the INKT classic white/black combo, with the middle vertical section painted black and the rest white. The central section also has a large logo. At Above this is the viewing section of the tower; the windows here are shaped into a flat 't'. At each side is some braces with varying hole diameters. The crowning glory is the massive eye that watches everything down below. The eye moves in a jerky motion; looking left, then right before moving back slightly. It then looks downwards in the same way, before repeating the sequence again.
